Shawn M. Roach Sr.

Shawn M. Roach Sr., 43 of Montpelier, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at his parent’s residence following a medical emergency.

He was born on January 20, 1983, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Joe & Amy (Kintz) Roach.

Shawn was united in marriage to Ashley Barker on January 20, 2021 in Leo, Indiana

Shawn was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #420 in Monroeville, Indiana. Shawn was everybody’s favorite Cook! He would use his creativity to make a fabulous meal out of anything. That same creativity he used for cooking also allowed him to fix anything around the house. He could find a fix to any problem that developed. But above all, Shawn valued the time with his family and created many memorable moments camping and fishing over the years.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Ashley Roach of Montpelier, Indiana; daughter, Hailee (Chris) Campbell of Harlan, Indiana; son, Shawn (Jasmine) Roach Jr. of Grabill, Indiana; daughter, Dakota Roach of Harlan, Indiana; daughter, Cheyann Roach at home; son, Wyatt Roach of Monroeville, Indiana; son, Levi Raber, at home; daughter, Kairi Shafer of Huntertown, Indiana; daughter, Luci Roach at home; daughter, Josie Roach, at home; parents, Joe and Amy Roach of Harlan, Indiana; sister, Jody Roach of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Joe (Lucy) Roach of Michigan; and four grandchildren: River Campbell, Meadow Campbell, Claire Roach, and Harper Gillhouse.

Funeral service for Shawn will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, with Pastor Derin Kyle officiating.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday also at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville.

Preferred memorials may be given to the family, checks payable to Ashley Roach.
