Roberta K. "Toots" Barrand

Roberta K. “Toots” Barrand, age 73, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Roberta was born on April 14, 1953, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Robert B. Hart Sr. and Carolyn (Smith) Hart. She was united in marriage to Perry Barrand on July 13, 2006.

Roberta worked at Thunderbird Products/Formula Boats for over 30 years. Outside of work, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved pets, completing word searches, and watching cooking shows. Her faith was an important part of her life, bringing her comfort and strength.

Survivors include her husband, Perry Barrand of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Sarah Hart of Monroeville, Indiana; two sons, Steven (Kayla) Mabee Jr. and Andrew Mabee both of Monroeville, Indiana; step-daughter, Heather Barrand of Columbia City, Indiana; mother, Carolyn Hart of Monroeville, Indiana; five sisters, Carol (Brad McBride) Burgo of Decatur, Indiana, Cheryl (Ed Hack) Mueller of Hoagland, Indiana, Thalia (Frederick) Reed of Decatur, Indiana, Michele (Terry Richert) Alexander of Monroeville, Indiana, and Marilyn (Tom) Turner, of Ocala, Florida; brother, Robert (Cheryl) Hart Jr. of Monroeville, Indiana; and three granddaughters, Hailey Slee, Amber Slee, and Ashlyn Mabee.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Steven A. Mabee Sr., and her stepson, Raymond Barrand.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Preferred memorials may be made to the family, with checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Homes.
