It is with unbelievable sadness that we had to say goodbye to our beloved brother, Richard Stanley Adams. Age 75, of Carmel, Indiana. Rich was born to Ora and Esther Eileen (Teeple) Adams on June 1, 1950, in Decatur, Indiana. He left this world on December 2, 2025, after losing his tough battle with cancer. Rich graduated with a master’s degree from Ball State University and had a great passion for science, astronomy, and meteorology. He was very proud that, while attending Ball State, Rich ran the weather station at the University. He enjoyed tracking and chasing storms his entire life.
Richard was an environmental scientist for several years, working for the Environmental Protection Agency in Houston, Texas. In later years, he was sole proprietor of RA Communications Corporation.
Rich was a former member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school classes during his high school years. Later, he was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He enjoyed traveling a great deal, and his favorite place is to be on the beach. He loved the sunshine, walks on the beach, and even liked body surfing in the waves. He has traveled to most of the states within the United States, a few of his favorites being Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and Hawaii. He also cruised to the Bahamas a few times.
Richard will be lovingly remember by his 3 brothers, Kim (Mary Ann) Adams of Greenwood, IN; Terry (Laura) Adams of Castle Rock, CO; Joe (Julie) Adams of Berne, IN; 1 sister, Penny Adams Carrigan of Berne, IN; 1 daughter, Jamie Hall, 1 son, Josuha Adams, 5 grand children and 5 great grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews; Landon Hough, Elizabeth (Brandon) Fruechte, Matthew (Jesica) Adams, Jennifer Hough, Christopher (Alyssa) Adams, Sean (Kristi) Adams, Adam (Gwen) Hough, Ryan (Chely) Adams, Christine (Robby) Lyles, Benjamin (Emily) Adams and Ariel Adams and 23 great nieces and nephews.
