Rex A. Aschliman

Rex A. Aschliman, 80, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Saturday morning, December 6, 2025, at Envive Healthcare in Berne, Indiana.

He was born on October 16, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Harry and Cordelia (Tonner) Aschliman.

Rex previously attended the First Mennonite Church in Berne, Indiana.

He was employed for various places throughout his lifetime.

Rex is survived by his sister, Kay Fairchild of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two nieces; one nephew; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tom Fairchild.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel of Berne, Indiana. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery of Berne, Indiana.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
