Peggy L. Rehling-Anderson, 92, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital Downtown in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Peggy was born on March 25, 1933, in Monroeville, Indiana, to Asa D. Brouwer and Opal I. (Clem) Brouwer, both of whom preceded her in death.
She graduated from Monroeville Public High School and continued her education at Indiana University. Peggy devoted many years to her professional career, working for 10 years at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company before joining Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire, where she served as a Senior Buyer for 15 years. She retired in 1995, proud of her work and the friendships she formed throughout her career.
Peggy was united in marriage to Donald L. Rehling, who preceded her in death. She later married Albert Anderson, who also preceded her in death.
A woman of faith and service, Peggy was a longtime member of New Haven United Methodist Church. She was also active in the American Legion Post #330 Auxiliary and the Navy Club both in New Haven, Indiana, where she enjoyed fellowship and supporting her community.
Peggy had a true passion for life. She was an accomplished horsewoman who spent more than 20 years participating in Western Horsemanship shows, a pursuit that brought her great joy and pride. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed quilting, a hobby that reflected her creativity, patience, and love of craftsmanship.
She is survived by a daughter, Danielle (Donald) Larsen of New Haven, Indiana; son, Kurt (Lori) Rehling of Lima, Ohio; son, Kevin Rehling of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren, Katrina (Aaron) Brown, Krista (Dylan) Craig, Kory Rehling, Cassie (Sam) Nettleton, Roderick Rehling and Chelsea (Sean) Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Henry Kelly, Emmett Kelly, Reagan Kelly, Levi Brown, Emily Brown, and Shelby Craig; sister, Mary Lou Morgan of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Katherine Beauchot of Monroeville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by two brothers, Lt. Com. Daniel C. Brouwer and Robert L. Brouwer; a sister & brother-in-law, Susan & Joseph Beauchot; and brother-in-law, Robert Beauchot.
A memorial service for Peggy will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, followed by inurnment at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Preferred memorials may be made to New Haven United Methodist Church.
