Paul E. Cagnet

Paul E. Cagnet, 75, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on March 2, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late John B. and Ruth Ellen (Snyder) Cagnet.

He honorably served his country in the National Guard Reserves.

Paul was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana. He was a lifelong farmer and previously worked for Woodburn Wire and Die and International Harvester.

Survivors include his sister, Ruth (Jeff) Freimuth, Sr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, James B. (Karen) Cagnet of Monroeville, Indiana; and five nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana, with Father Dennis Di Benedetto officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rose Catholic Church Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville, Indiana, with the reciting of the Holy Rosary at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Preferred memorials may be given to St. Rose Catholic School, Masses, or the donor’s Choice.
