Marilyn J. Buuck, 93, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Monday morning, April 27, 2026, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville, Indiana.
She was born on January 27, 1933 in Decatur, Indiana to Hugo and Emma (Bulmahn) Boerger. On April 11, 1953, Marilyn was united in marriage to Franklin M. Buuck and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2007. In addition, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Regina Boerger, who passed away at the age of 10 years.
Marilyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim and faithfully served her family as a homemaker.
She was known for using her small mower to maintain her property. She was also an accomplished seamstress. She shared her talents and spent many years creating blankets which were donated to Lutheran World Relief.
Marilyn is survived by son, Glenn (Angie) Buuck of Auburn, Indiana; daughter, Brenda (Bill) Kalb of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Kevin (Dawn) Buuck of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Kathleen (Lowell “Buck”) Sharp of Hartford City, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Nathan Buuck, Brandon Buuck, Jordan Buuck, Rachelle (Ethan) Lapham, Caleb (Kristin) Buuck, Alex Kalb, and Ethan Kalb; and a great-granddaughter, Autumn Lapham.
A funeral service for Marilyn will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Pastor Matthew Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim.
Family and friends will be received from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church on Friday.
Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church, Friedheim.
