Lynn E. Rorick, 76, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.
He was born August 5, 1949 in Monroeville, Indiana to the late Richard Rorick and Marietta (Giant) Rorick. He lived most of his life in the same house in which he was born.
Lynn was united in marriage to R. Ann Jacquay on May 20, 1972, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, and she survives.
A proud veteran, Lynn served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1971 after attaining the rank of SP5 with training in watercraft operations.
He was a devoted member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon in New Haven, a member of American Legion Post #420 in Monroeville, and an member of the National Association of Realtors, where he maintained his professional certification.
A 1967 graduate of Bishop Luers High School, Lynn continued his education at Barber School in Indianapolis, Indiana and Troyer Real Estate School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He began his career as a barber in 1967 in Woodburn, Indiana, faithfully serving his community until his retirement in 2018. In addition, he was the longtime owner and operator of Rorick Realty, helping countless families and individuals pursue their goals of home ownership and sale. In 2022, Lynn was elected Jefferson Township Trustee in Allen County, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving others.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing for the peace and relaxation it brought him, as well as golfing and hunting. Above all, Lynn treasured time spent with his children and grandchildren, teaching them about the outdoors and sharing life lessons—always done “The Rorick Way.”
Lynn is survived by his wife of 53 years Ann Rorick of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Janelle Berry of Woodburn, Indiana; daughter Trisha Saalfrank of Grabill, Indiana; son, Jared (Stephanie) Rorick of Woodburn, Indiana; brother, Ronald (Nancy) Rorick of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Becky (Keith) Mott of Monroeville, Indiana; sister, Monica (Steve) Cagnet, of Wellington, Florida; and sister-in-law, Cecily Rorick of LaGrange, Indiana; as well as eight grandchildren, Mason (Kelsey) Berry, Evan Berry, Blake Saalfrank, Riley Saalfrank, Gavin Saalfrank & Chandler Saalfrank, Stella Rorick, and Adalyn Rorick.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Rorick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at St Louis Catholic Church, Besancon, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven, Indiana, with Father Tyrell Alless officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, and one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday at the church.
Preferred memorials may be given to Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
