Ludella M. Conrad

Ludella M. Conrad, age 99, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2026, at Ossian Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ossian, Indiana. She was born on October 19, 1926, in Decatur, Indiana, to Henry and Hannah (Schroeder) Conrad, both of whom preceded her in death.

Ludella was a faithful, lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church–Friedheim in Decatur, Indiana, where she helped with the Morning Glories.

She graduated from Monmouth High School with the Class of 1945 and later retired from the payroll office at General Electric in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after 42 years of dedicated service. Ludella greatly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her sisters. She also cherished time spent shopping and dining out with her family.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Marlene Conrad of Decatur, Indiana; her nephew, Steve Conrad of Decatur, Indiana; her nieces, Leanne M. (Joe) Lee of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Linda Conrad of Decatur, Indiana; and two great-nephews, Matthew and Corbin Lee.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Willis Conrad, and her three sisters, Armilla, Helma, and Irene Conrad.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church–Friedheim in Decatur, Indiana, with Pastor Matthew Ulmer officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery–Friedheim.

Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Preferred memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church–Friedheim, Worship Anew, or Heartland Hospice.
