Lazarus Raymond Doubrava

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Lazarus.

Lazarus Raymond Doubrava was given life by his Creator and was born on July 31, 2026, the son of Rev. Raymond and Abigail (Meyer) Doubrava. Immediately after his earthly birth, he was given the new birth of water and the Word through the waters of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. He died a short time later and God took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

He is survived by his parents, Rev. Raymond and Abigail (Meyer) Doubrava of Ossian, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Michael and Laura Meyer of Akron, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Kay Doubrava of Wichita, Kansas; paternal step-grandmother, Janet Prentice of Oklahoma City, OK; maternal great grandparents, Richard and Patricia Meyer of Huntley, Illinois; maternal great grandparents, Philipp and Margaretha Weintz of Grafton, Ohio; and paternal great grandmother, Louise Barnes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Zechariah Doubrava; paternal grandfather, Roger Prentice; paternal great grandfather, Wendell Prentice; paternal great grandparents, Raymond and Elfrieda Doubrava; and paternal step-great grandfather, Kenneth Barnes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 8824 State Road 1, Ossian, Indiana, Rev. Douglas Punke officiating. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Ossian.

Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials can be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, Ossian.
