Larry Jay Morrison, age 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 10, 2025, at Evergreen Village in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Born in Angola, Indiana, on April 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Sydney and Zelma (Kugler) Morrison. Larry was united in marriage to Shann-A-Le Hefty on September 16, 1967, in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2001.
Larry graduated from Fremont High School and dedicated 20 years of service as a supervisor at Machine-Rite Products, in addition to his work in Las Vegas and at a U Haul Company in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a faithful member of both Auburn Nazarene Church and Metz Church.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Larry cherished the laughter and many jokes he shared with his loved ones. He found joy in crocheting, fishing, hunting, and had a lifelong passion for stock car racing. He loved his Lord & Savior and looked forward with faith and hope to being reunited with his beloved wife in heaven.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Cichos of Fort Wayne; brother, Roger (Mary) Morrison of Auburn; brother-in-law, Greg Keener of Auburn; three grandchildren, Michael (Lindsey) Greene, Dr. Courtney (Dale) Ruppert, and Shanna (Asher) Gingerich; and two great-grandsons, Link and Emrich Greene, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenn Morrison, Melanie (Jack) Sindel, and Deb Keener, a great-granddaughter, and two nephews, Rodney and Randy Sindel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
