Jerry Stevens

Jerry A. Stevens, 65, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at his home. Born on August 8, 1956 in Decatur, he was a son of the late Chester and Frances (Hess) Stevens.

Jerry was united in marriage to Cheryl A. Wappelhorst on August 17, 1974. He was employed at Gold Shield as a Production Worker from 1995-2009.

He loved fishing, hunting and camping.

Surviving are his wife , Cheryl A. Stevens, of Decatur; son, Jonathan A. (Michelle K.) Stevens, of Bluffton; daughter, Tara R. (Marvin J.) Briggs, of Decatur; brothers, Chester (Pat) Stevens, Jr. of Decatur, Ronny (Nancy) Stevens, of Berne, and Nicholas Stevens, of Berne; sister, Jeannie (Tammy) Stevens, of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Kimberly, John and Katelynn Stevens.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Robert) Hess.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Preferred memorials can be made to the family (Checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home).
