Helen I. Webster

Helen I. Webster, 89, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday evening, September 7, 2025, at Adams Heritage in Monroeville.

She was born on August 15, 1936, in Waterloo, DeKalb County, Indiana, to the late Chester and Irene (Duesler) Shultz. Helen was a 1954 graduate of Waterloo High School.

On January 1, 1955, she was united in marriage to James E. Gordon in Waterloo, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1995. On April 5, 2002, she married Robert N. Webster in Monroeville, and he passed away on April 19, 2018.

Helen retired from Three Rivers Federal Credit Union in 1991 and later worked part-time at East Allen Federal Credit Union from 1997 to 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church in New Haven, Indiana, and belonged to the American Legion Post #420 Auxiliary in Monroeville. In her free time, Helen enjoyed gardening, reading, and baking.

Surviving are her sons, Steven (Karen) Gordon of Fort Wayne and Larry (Linda) Gordon of Fort Wayne; step-sons, Mark (Kim) Webster of Antwerp, Ohio, and Randy (Jill) Webster of New Haven; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Gordon; step-daughter, Julia L. Webster-Rigsby; brother, Harold Shultz; and sisters, Janice Pugh and Betty Jackson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 1716 Werling Road, New Haven, Indiana, with Pastor Troy Collett officiating. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Family and friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Preferred memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in New Haven, Indiana.
