Fred E. Lehrman

Fred E. Lehrman, 83, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away Wednesday evening, July 8, 2026, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.

He was born on February 16, 1943, in Decatur, Indiana, to the late Oscar and Gladys (Row) Lehrman. Fred was married to Ruby Nipper on November 28, 1987, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Decatur, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on October 14, 2020.

Fred was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Decatur, Indiana.

He graduated from Decatur High School, Class of 1961, and he was employed by B.F. Goodrich and retired in 1994.

Fred is survived by his step-daughter, Mary Gwenn (James) Geiger of Spartanburg, North Carolina; sister, Ann Chandler of Oviedo, Florida; nephew, Roger (Brenda) Scheinnerer of Decatur, Indiana; and nephew, Ron (Tina) Schinnerer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Lehrman; and three step-children, Daniel and Michael Nipper, and Debra J. Ray.

A private family burial will take place at a later date at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Decatur, Indiana.
