Emma J. Lambright

Emma J. Lambright, 81, of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

She was born on November 21, 1944, in Berne, Indiana, to the late Jacob D. and Elizabeth S. (Wengerd) Wickey. Emma married Alvin A. Lambright on September 30, 1965, and they celebrated 55 years together before he preceded her in death on April 23, 2021.

Emma served her family over the years as a faithful homemaker and was a member of the Old Order Amish.

She is survived by her four daughters, Lizzie Ann (Byler) Grizzll of Linesville, Pennsylvania, Katie Ann (Ervin E.J.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana, Edna Mae (Ben E.J.) Schwartz of Bluffton, Indiana, and Emma A. (Enos F.) Schwartz of Berne, Indiana; three sons, Alvin E. (Malinda M.) Lambright of Berne, Indiana, Jerry E. (Emma M.) Lambright of Berne, Indiana, and Amos E. (Mary Ann K.) Lambright of Bluffton, Indiana; brother, Jerry J. (Anna) Wickey; three sisters-in-law, Bertha Wickey, Rosie Wickey, and Anna Mae Wickey; 65 grandchildren; and 143 great-grandchildren.

Emma was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jonathan J. Byler; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Amos J. (Emma) Wickey, David J. Wickey, Jacob J. Wickey, and Solomon J. Wickey; two sisters, Katherine J. (Benjamin S.) Girod and Rebecca J. (Joe M.) Girod; and three stepsisters, Mary J. (Daniel C.) Schwartz, Elizabeth J. (Sam S.) Schwartz, and Frances J. (Daniel E.) Gengerich.
