Eileen M. Guenin

Eileen M. Guenin, 95, of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Cedarhurst Senior Living of Fort Wayne.

She was born on July 13, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Geraldine (Andrews) Youse.

Eileen was united in marriage to Frank Guenin on July 7, 2017 at Lifeway Wesleyan Church in Fort Wayne after having been best friends since first grade at Hoagland Elementary School. Prior to her marriage to Frank, she was married to Roland Kyle for 45 years, he preceded her in death in 2013.

She was a graduate of the Hoagland High School Class of 1947 and was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church in Fort Wayne. Eileen worked as the deli manager at the Southgate Kroger in Fort Wayne for 17 years.

She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, reading, gardening, spending time with family and watching them grow. She also loved spending time outside, especially watching birds, and smooching on Frank—she never tired of it.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Guenin of Monroeville, Indiana; daughter, Peggy A. (Glenn) Miller of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Sharon K. (Stephen) Leatherman of Monroeville, Indiana; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Jon (Terry) Youse of Hoagland, Indiana; three Step Children, Stephen (Gayla) Guenin of Plainfield, Illinois, Cheryl (Dean) Stine of Decatur, Indiana, and Kay (Brian) Youn of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Jean (Steven A.) Shatto; grandson, Gabriel K. Leatherman; sister, Shirley (William) North; and brother, David Youse

Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Antioch Cemetery, Hoagland, Indiana.

Preferred memorials can be given to Heart to Heart Hospice.
