Donald E. Coons

Donald E. Coons, 77, of Linn Grove, Indiana passed away early Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.

He was born on October 11, 1941 in Redkey, Indiana to Walter H. Coons and Garnet L. (Starr) Coons.

Donald retired from Smith Brothers in Berne with 41 years of service.

He attended Faith Baptist Church in Berne and was a member of the American Legion in Berne and the Dog Club in Greenville, Ohio.

Donald showed dogs professionally for 65 years and was a judge for many dog shows in the Midwest. He was a fan of Notre Dame and Ohio State football.

He is survived by a daughter; a brother-in-law, Tom Scott; six nieces; a nephew; and several great nieces & nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary E. Scott.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 at Wells Cemetery located at 250 W 500 N in Jay County, Indiana.
