Derinda M. Wittgenfeld

Derinda M. Wittgenfeld, 70, of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Adams Memorial Hospital.

Derinda was born on June 5, 1956, in Greenville, Tennessee, to Dawson and Alyne (Parton) Cutshaw.

She married Rick Wittgenfeld on July 28, 2001, and he survives.

Derinda generously volunteered many hours at the Clothes Closet in Decatur, where she enjoyed helping others and giving back to her community. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to garage sales, reading, working on jigsaw puzzles, and, most of all, spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her family was very important to her, and she treasured the time they spent together.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Wittgenfeld of Decatur, Indiana; two daughters, Lorrie Wittgenfeld of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Chantel (Tim) Biery of Louisville, Kentucky; three sons, Charles Wallace and Dwight Wallace both of Greenville, Tennessee and Jason (Amy) Gorney of Decatur, Indiana; mother, Alyne Cutshaw of Greenville, Tennessee; five siblings; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren

Derinda was preceded in death by her father.

Family and friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.
