Dena L. Schwartz, 4 days old, of Decatur, Indiana, entered into the arms of Jesus Sunday afternoon, July 12, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in Decatur, Indiana, to Leroy A.L. and Lovina S. (Schwartz) Schwartz.

Her parents are of the Old Order Amish.

Dena is survived by her parents, Leroy A.L. and Lovina S. Schwartz of Decatur, Indiana; siblings, Lamar L., Deborah L., and Lonnie L. Schwartz, all at home; paternal grandparents, Sam E. and Edna E. Schwartz of Monroe, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Alvin J.L. and Lavina A. Schwartz; and maternal great-grandmother, Leah Girod of Berne, Indiana.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Alvin J.L. Residence, 2676 West State Road 124, Monroe, Indiana, with Bishop Emanuel E. Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow at Winchester Cemetery of rural Monroe, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the Alvin J.L. Schwartz Residence.
