Debra L. Koenemann

Debra L. “Debbie” Koenemann, 76 of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, July 19, 2025, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, Indiana

She was born on June 19, 1949, in Columbus, Indiana to the late Harold M. and Elizabeth (Scutt) Vanosdol.

She was united in marriage to Duane F. Koenemann on October 7, 1972, at St. John Lutheran Church, Flatrock.

Debbie was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.

She graduated from Bloomington High School, South with the class of 1967. Debbie was a local model in the late 70’s into the 80’s and a charm school instructress into the 90’s.

She was very loving and devoted wife and mother.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Duane Koenemann of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Darin D. (Emily) Koenemann of Fort Wayne, Indiana and granddaughter, Abigail Koenemann.

A Funeral Service for Debbie will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8811 St Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana with Rev. James Gier and Rev. Dr. Gary Zieroth burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Ascension Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be given to Ascension Lutheran School Endowment Fund; Concordia Lutheran High School, Ft. Wayne or Donor’s Choice.
