Daniel J. Frank

Daniel J. Frank, 66, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Sunday evening, August 23, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center following a stroke he suffered a year ago.

He was born on July 12, 1960 in Wayne, Michigan to Rev. Donald and Evelyn (Fathauer) Frank. Dan was united in marriage to Kimberly Melcher on October 7, 1989 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest.

Dan was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest, where he sang in the choir, and served the congregation in various capacities both as a volunteer, and as an office holder.

He held a career in the plastics industry which spanned 20 years.

Dan’s life centered around his family, friends and his church. He loved woodworking, gardening, and fishing at the lake. His unique sense of humor always brought a smile to those around him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who always put his family first.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Frank; two daughters, Erica (Clayton) Stoppenhagen and Victoria Frank; son, Andrew Frank; two brothers, Tim (Linda) Frank, and Tom Frank; and two grandchildren, Fletcher and Savana Stoppenhagen.

A funeral service for Dan will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest in Fort Wayne, Indiana with Pastor Josef Henning officiating. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Soest.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest. There will be no visitation on Saturday prior to the service.

Memorials can be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest.
