C. June Thompson

C. June Thompson, 80, of Decatur, Indiana passed away early Friday, September 25, 2026, at Adams Woodcrest.

June was born on October 2, 1945 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to the late Charles and Florence (Nowlin) Hill. She was married to Daniel J. Thompson on April 15, 1972 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2010.

She was a member of North Adams Church of Christ in Decatur.

June was a 1963 graduate of Adams Central High School. She had worked in production at Franklin Electric and had previously worked at Corning Glass.

She enjoyed spending her free time quilting, and proudly quilted items for the Honor Flight of NE Indiana.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (John) Krudop of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son, Daniel J. Thompson II of Berne, Indiana; five grandchildren, Matthew Krudop, Jerod (Hayley) Krudop, Jordan (Nick) Krudop, Katrina Krudop, and Mia (Gabe Burgin) Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Adler Krudop & Milo Burgin; brother, David Hill of Berne, Indiana; two sisters, Janet Crankshaw of Searcy, Arkansas and Patsy (Tom) Ray of Rickman, Tennessee; brother, Gary (Rhonda) Hill of Grantsville, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Goldie Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Jim Voglewede officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Adams Woodcrest Chapel; from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur; and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be given in June’s memory to North Adams Church of Christ.
