Brenda J. Osterman

Brenda J. Osterman, 71, of Monroe, Indiana, passed away Wednesday evening, July 23, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born on August 28, 1953, in Decatur, Indiana, to Charles A. and Ruth I. (Reppert) Sheets. Brenda was united in marriage to Roger C. Osterman on October 19, 1974, in Decatur, Indiana.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Decatur, Indiana.

Brenda retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne and enjoyed attending the monthly G.E. Women’s Meeting.

Brenda loved spending time with her family and her trips to Tennessee to see her grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed baking cookies and making Jello-Jigglers, and scrapbooking.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Osterman of Monroe, Indiana; son, Dr. Travis J. (Laura) Osterman of Nashville, Tennessee; son-in-law, Jonathan (Hillary) Call of Valparaiso, Indiana; sister, Yvonne (Linden) Eley of Sun City West, Arizona; and four grandchildren, Jackson Call, Owen Osterman, Gavin Osterman, and Willow Osterman.

Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley M. Call, and sister, Diane Miller.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana, with Pastor Allen Kahler officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be given to the National Parkinson’s Research Fund in Brenda’s memory.
