Benjamin J. Depew

Benjamin J. Depew, 35, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was born on February 1, 1991 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Brian and Laura (Lehman) Depew.

Ben was employed by Schaab Metal Products as a warehouse driver.

He enjoyed collecting natural granite and limestone pieces. He was a scout in his younger years, and enjoyed being out in nature.

He is survived by his parents, Brian and Laura Depew of Hoagland, Indiana; brother, Kyle (Gaeun) Depew of Hoagland, Indiana; maternal grandfather, Jim Lehman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and nephew, Hektor Depew of Hoagland, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Victor and Barbara Depew and his maternal grandmother, Joan Lehman.

In following the family’s request, there will be no services

Memorials in Ben’s name can be given to Anthony Wayne Area Council of Scouting America.
