Margery D. Poole, 60 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 12:52 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her residence following a long illness. Margery was born on Wednesday, July 16, 1952 in Coldwater, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl H. Ranly; who passed away on February 1, 1987 and the late Mary A. (Bruns) Ranly; who passed away on November 30, 2005. Margery attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur. Margery was a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Heath (Jennifer) Mendez of Decatur, IN; daughter, Heidi Mendez of Decatur, IN; son, Patrick (Brandi) Phillips of Fishers, IN; son, Holland Herman of Decatur, IN; brother, James W. Ranly of Decatur, IN; brother, Chris H. (Sandy) Ranly of Columbia, SC; sister, Laura (Jeff) Smith of Defiance, OH; former husband, Robert "Bobby" Mendez of Decatur, IN; five grandchildren: Cody Mendez, Gabriel Diaz, Caleb Mendez, Allison Mendez, and Vivian Mendez. Preceding Margery in death were former husband, David Poole; and a sister, Ann Schaffner. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Deacon Jerry Kohrman officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Decatur. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana; and one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday. Preferred memorials are to the family.
