Emma B Melcher

November 2, 1909 — May 12, 2017

Following 107 years, 6 months, and 9 days, Emma Melcher passed away peacefully to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and a son, Fred. Surviving are daughters; Marlene "Marty" Stover, and Barbara Shepherd; son, Stephen "Steve" (Donna) Melcher; daughter-in-law, Sally Melcher. In addition she is survived by 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren, and two Great-great grandchildren. Emma contributed her long life to work, a sales associate at Macy's until age 96, and to gardening so that she could share flowers and vegetables with friends and associates.

Funeral services, with the Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church - Flatrock, Monroeville . Officiating will be Pastor Christian.

Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to the services Thursday.

Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Church - Flatrock  or Parkview Hospice.
