Helen A. Augsburger

Helen A. Augsburger, 94, Berne passed away September 9, 2016 at Swiss Village where she was a resident. She was born to Ray and Marie Ritenour Butcher on April 13, 1922 in Jay County. She married Chester Augsburger on September 26, 1940.

Helen was a member of the Cross Community Church. She worked at Lee's Department Store in sales and was a member of the former Berne Garden Club. Her interests include, traveling, gardening, crocheting, raising flowers, and oil painting.

Survivors include; son, Leslie L.(Gyneth)Augsburger of Berne, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 8 great-grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding in death are her parents, husband, Chester, daughter, Judelle Steiner, & sister, Pearl Yoder.

Funeral services are Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Swiss Village Chapel with visitation Saturday from 10:00 am to the time of the service. Officiating is Pastor Anita Rediger. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne
