Roman D. Schwartz

November 24, 1936 - May 28, 2016

Roman D. Schwartz, 79, rural Berne, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft.Wayne. He was born to David L. and Sovilla(Wenger)Schwartz in Adams County, IN. He married Malinda D. Hershberger on November 10, 1959.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was owner of Schwartz Animal Health and Tree Spraying Company.

Surviving is his wife, Malinda , son, Ivan R.(Verna)Schwartz of Berne, daughters, Susie(Harvey)Miller, of Bluffton, Erma Schwartz of Berne, Ella(Joseph M.R.)Schwartz of Berne, 23 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Elmer D.(Emma)Schwartz of Berne, and sister, Edna(Joe)Miller of Linn Grove.

Preceding in death are his parents, brothers, Ernest D. and Harvey D. Schwartz, and infant sister, Mary Schwartz.

Funeral services on Tuesday, 9:00am, May 31 at 2993, 350 S, Berne. Visitation also Sunday from 1 to 8 pm and Monday from 10 to 8 pm. Officiating is Bishop Mervin C. Hilty. Burial is in the Winchester Cemetery.
