Kenneth E. Beer

March 2, 1919 - May 6, 2016

Kenneth E. Beer, 97, Berne, passed away Friday morning, May 6, 2016 at Swiss Village where he was a resident. He was born on March 2, 1919 in Adams County to Edward and Emma(Roth)Beer. He married Mary Diehl on December 1, 1940.

Ken was a well known farmer and was president of Dewbrook Farms. He was a member of the Cross Community Church, Berne where he was a former member of the Consistory. Ken was a member of the Adams County Holstein Association and enjoyed participating in area horse pulling contests.

Survivors include daughter, Diana(Barry)Humble of Decatur, sons; David(Lynn)Beer of Fort Wayne, Dean(Jennifer)Beer of Berne, 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death are his parents, wife, Mary(2013), brothers; Eli, Rolland Beer, 1/2 brother, Leonard Roth and sisters, Leola Robinson, Berteline Riley and Mary Ellen Snyder.

Funeral services are Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 10:00 am at the Swiss Village Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation also Monday, May 9 from 2 to 8 PM in the chapel. Officiating is Pastor Chris Kruchkow. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.

Preferred memorials are to Cross Community Church, Swiss Village Samaritan Fund &/or Family Life Care.
